MUX BOARD

The mux or multiplexer is an integrated circuit designed to take various digital information sources and put them to a single output line.

On the mux board there are two '74151' mux i c's, These mux chips are 8 bit each allowing 16 switches.

   The  I C sockets and 15 pin D-type connector being placed on the board.  

 The placing of the I C sockets and 15 pin D-type connectors. All other connectors where added to the board and all soldered securely into place making sure of good electrical connectivity.

See testing results in final report of connectivity before placement of integrated circuits and functionality testing of the boards.

Last weeks work consisted of finishing the PCB designs and soldering the components to the switch board
the switch board was tested for continuity of the tracks the component then added and a test of the switches to 18 pin connector and resistors was further established.a copy of the test table for switchboard is provided in report.
